I am going to start doing two beauty tips every week. It may be hair, makeup, body, skin, etc. It's mostly for your benefit, but I find that when I reiterate something, it sticks with me longer, too. So, here are the two for this week:
Tip #1
Before going to bed, moisturize your natural hair with coconut oil and spray on some water. I usually were my hair two strand twists while having my hair out because its very convenient and a great protective style for me. So, before going to bed, I mist on some water and rub on some coconut oil. I personally like coconut its because it's not heavy at all and it smells so good! This will give you some moisture while you sleep and it will feel soft in the morning. Make sure you do not forget your silk/satin scarf/bonnet!
Tip #2
For stretch marks: Whenever I go without working out and eating healthy, I gain weight. Duh! So, instead of letting my body take a hit from the weight gain, after showering I immediately rub down in cocoa butter and coconut oil. Immediately because if I wait until my skin is dry, the oils will not seep into my skin like I want them to. So before even leaving the bathroom, rub down hips, thighs, stomach, and legs with it. If you already have stretch marks, I suggest taking photos of them before you start and keep up this regimen for three weeks to see your progress.
